Our Programs & Classes

Students and enthusiasts of Taekwondo have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.

Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Gold Medal Family Karate offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well.

Basic/Evaluation
This is a six month program that teaches the students the basic martial arts life skills and fundamentals including self defense techniques, blocks, punches, kicks, and stances. It is a program that allows us to teach the student how to be martial artists, developing them to be a black belt from the inside out. Many of our students elect to enter the Leadership Program within the first few weeks of their Basic enrollment. (if qualified)

Masters Club
An accellerated curriculum that allows a student to begin learning the material needed for their advancement to first degree black belt. Curriculum includes advanced training in 9 weapons, Black Belt Success Skills, basic and advanced board breaking, competition level forms and sparring, advanced self defense methods, multilevel fighting, grappling training, and much more.

LEADERSHIP PROGRAM!
Leaders are not born, they are created. If you want to improve your life… our Leadership program is for you! This program is for all students who have a desire to learn leadership skills that will serve them in all aspects of their lives. Students learn specific class management skills, life skills, advanced weapons usage and fighting methods, and Hapkido training. Students enrolled in this program accept responsibility for becoming leaders in our schools, homes, and community.

The Leadership Program is our all inclusive Platinum program which covers all material in each of the aformentioned study couses. Essentially, this is our instructor training course that teaches the student the martial arts curriculum and teaching system to allow them the possibility to become assistants in the Gold Medal Federation. The student would also learn an advanced competition martial arts curriculum that would make them eligible for the Gold Medal Federation demo team. Each of our Leadership Members is also invited to learn the Gold Medal Hapkido curriculum and to train directly with Grandmaster Ken MacKenzie!
